He said he had, so they asked what the neighborhood was like. He asked them what the neighborhood was like where they lived now. Oh! They really liked their neighborhood! All the neighbors were friendly, the schools were great and the children all got along beautifully. Well, said the wise man, this neighborhood is just like the one where you live now! Smiling, they thanked him & drove on their way. Soon after, another couple, considering moving into the neighborhood drove up and asked the wise man if he lived here long. He said he had, so they, too asked what the neighborhood was like. He asked them what their neighborhood was like where theylived now. Oh! They couldn't wait to get out! Their neighbors weren't friendly, the schools were terrible and the children were always getting into trouble! Well, said the wise man, this neighborhood is just like the one where you live now. Scowling, the second couple drove away.
I just had to ask! Why did you give such a great recommendation to the first couple and such a bad one to the second couple?
The wise man wisely replied that human nature being what it is, people will find what it is they're looking for...if you look at your neighborhood or life situation positively, you'll find that to be true anywhere you live. The same is true when you look at your neighborhood and life negatively."
So, what are you looking for in a home business career? A company that supports you positively every step of the way or are you going to look for excuses why you haven't put in the amount of time necessary into the activities that will make you successful? It's been said that "straightening the deck chairs on the Titanic" took a lot of activity...and I'll bet whoever did that felt like they had worked their behind off, too, but it certainly wasn't productive activity.
