Some of you talk about about why women are joining MK. I agree with Laura when she says its the money that is why most people join BUT there are some women who are well off or they are married to rich husbands and just want something to do and they EXCEL with it and make more money. You will find that there are women who were poor in MK and women who were well off who do well in both camps and that is why they have good stories to tell. I have found the majority of the people who do well in anything like this are highly motivated and they like what they do and or they like money. I knew a woman who hated AVON with a passion but she was one of their top producers and she just liked making money...

I would have to say that the Top Directors do like money and recognition and they are also (once they get to the top drawer in the piggy bank) like mentoring other women. I dont care what business you are in whether its a nine to five or direct sales if you are making 100,000 a year or more you are not working 20 hours a week you are probably doing 40 or more unless this is money you have retired off of. I would think that a National is working at least 30 hours a week but I could be wrong. Stephanie Settles

I would say you'd also have to factor in assistant's time. Our National has 3, one I know for sure FT, another maybe, and yet another, then her family help. Then her housekeeper.......etc. I calculated the 450,000 commission check mentioned in another post(again from a top dog, not the bottom kittie cats).....and to gain $450,000 in commissions from anyone at the current rate of 5% commission......the unit/units (probably multiple units since this person was headed to National) had to produce 9,000,000......that's NINE MILLION in WHOLESALE ORDERS. I think they're putting in a little more than 20-25 hours a week to have gained that production.
