Hotel Phone Charges

In the United States, the rates that a hotel may charge for using its phone are generally at the discretion of the hotel.

Phones in every room have long since moved from being a special feature to being a basoc requirement. Yet, while some chains still see treat them as a basic part of the room, like the bed or the bathroom, and differentiate themselves by offering free local calls as part of the package, other hotels see them as a profit center. Of course, the more outrageous the price of the room, the more likely that the phone charges will be outrageous as well.
