DirectBuy is a consumer club based in Merrillville, IN.
They changed their name from UCC TotalHome.
Before that, they changed their name from United Consumers Club. Their aim is to sell non-refundable contracts (Membership Agreement). The premise to buy a contract is catalog sales with merchandise at the manufacturers or suppliers cost, available only to the club members. The sales method is centered around the implication that retailers are taking advantage of consumers, and that only Directbuy/UCC can offer these low prices on the merchandise in the catalogs. There are no guarantees of lower prices or selection of merchandise once you buy into the club, and there are no refunds given on the contract.
