This complaint was filed by a consumer against DirectBuy of Akron-Canton on 4/20/2007.

description of complaint:

Entered into a retail membership with DirectBuy.

The salespeople showed unusual savings that we later found out were not the normal savings.

Also, for the demonstration I drove all the way to Akron.

Salesman stated that there was one in Cleveland that we could use and that one was being built in Eastlake, Ohio.

After signing up, we visited the Cleveland location. The salespeople there were very rude, and when I asked why there were so rude, they stated that DirectBuys were franchises and they were under different ownership than Akron, so we needed to shop there.

They have obtained a judgement and are now garnishing our bank accounts.
