This complaint was filed by a consumer against DirectBuy of Akron-Canton on 4/4/2007.
description of complaint:
On January 5, 2007, we went to DirectBuy after seeing an ad on TV implying we could save 60% on new kitchen cabinets over retail prices.
We had been pricing new cabinets for about 3 years and the implied savings sounded great.
After we're told we had to sign right then or there would not be another opportunity to do so, we signed thinking we were really going to save money. After getting a quote for new cabinets, we then knew we were had. DirectBuy's prices were no different than retail prices.
Price Paid: $4000.
