description of complaint:
DirectBuy representatives and their television ads indicate the we would save significant amounts of money by purchasing goods through their buying service. We believe these representations were fraudulent because, while their inital price is low, the additional costs and service fees that are added minimize and in most cases eliminate the potential savings from using their buying service.
While we were informed that there were some additional fees, the amount and extent of these fees was minimzed by the presentation and not detailed by the representative that discussed purchasing a membership.
We have visited the DirectBuy showroom and have not been able to find any products that we would purchase that could provide us the savings that were represented by the company's representatives during the sales presentation.
