description of complaint:
I am suffering from depression and am on workers compensation disability. October 15th will be two years.
I saw an infomercial for DirectBuy on TV & went to a presentation in Uniontown, Ohio, last night at 7:30 p.m. I feel I was high-pressured into signing a contract which makes me a member of the club (DirectBuy).
After further review of my financial status, I decided it would be prudent to not participate in this club membership. I spoke with a very nice lady at corporate, and she said to try to resolve it at the franchise level.
I spoke with a Mr. Ryan M. Kralik. I tried explaining to him that I would be over-extending myself financially, and his snotty resopnse was "What? A little payment of $150 per month is going to break your bank all of a sudden?"
That's when I decided to contact the Attorney General's office.
