Investigators believe members of the group try to sell magazine subscriptions door-to-door. They say they work for American Community Services.
After homeowners answer their doors, police said members of the group ask for a glass of water, to use the bathroom or ask to use a table to write up the order.
Once in the house, members of the group often steal keys, purses or small valuables as they leave, police said. They also check out the contents of the house, for a potential future burglary, investigators said.
Police believe 40 or 50 members of this group could be coming to the metro area from Colorado.
Investigators believe the group is responsible for 23 burglaries in Colorado during a three-week period. The burglaries in Colorado happed in the early morning hours and all the houses were occupied during the burglaries.
The group also uses the names Total Dedication Inc., Omni-Horizons Inc., Dedicated Too Inc., Roussa W Enterprise, Shirley’s Globetrotters, Unified Gold Key Inc. and Unified Producers.
Investigators believe similar groups have been in neighborhoods in Brooklyn Center, Minn.; Brooklyn Park, Minn. and Crystal, Minn. in the past few weeks.
If you have seen anything similar, call police.
